Life as a Pre-PA Student

Hey guys! For my first post I decided to introduce myself and tell everyone about my decision in pursuing a career as a PA. Well, to start off, my name is Mike and I am currently a junior at Monmouth University. My major is chemistry with a concentration in BioChem.  I am currently an EMT-B and volunteer with my hometown squad (Port-Monmouth First Aid).  I have also volunteered with Montclair State University EMS when I was a student there.
It’s been one hell of a process deciding on what I truly wanted to do with the rest of my life, but I am confident and excited in becoming a PA.  I have always known that I wanted to have a career in the Medical field but, to tell you the truth; my original thoughts ran from being a Paramedic to a Physician.  After a lot of research and interviews with college representatives I decided that becoming a PA is the right choice for me.  I highly recommend you to attend seminars and meet with representatives as well as do some of your own research before you begin your journey in becoming a PA.
I understand that this is going to be a tough career goal but I am willing and determined to put the time and energy into making this goal a reality. Currently, I am looking for a Shadowing opportunity and I will update everyone with how this turns out!
What do I do outside of School? Well, I am just your average every day guy. I, like the rest of you, enjoy hanging with my friends, surfing, kayaking, dirt biking, mountain biking, and trying not to wreak my jeep when I take it off road. So, basically I am a little bit of an adrenaline junkie =p.  I have flown a plane, and am currently looking into skydiving opportunities.  I enjoy having a good laugh and having a good time.
If anyone has any questions about me or how or what I am currently doing just message me and I will get back to you.
